Abundant Green, into the Amazon
Supporting the regeneration of Earth's heart & lungs
The Amazon rainforest is the beating heart of the planet, a living system that produces one-fifth of the world’s freshwater, generates a significant portion of global oxygen, and stores over 100 billion tons of carbon. It is home to more than three million species of plants and animals and nearly 400 distinct indigenous groups whose knowledge of the forest stretches back millenia.
Yet this heart and lungs of the planet, which helps stabilize global climate systems, is under extreme pressure. Logging, mining, cattle ranching, and industrial agriculture continue to destroy millions of hectares each year.
In 2026, we will leap into our most ambitious project yet – Working to help change that trajectory of the Amazon’s decline through the Abundant Green initiative. Our approach is grounded in one fundamental truth: That the Amazon cannot be protected without the people who live within and around it.
Communities across this region face the daily tension between economic survival and ecological preservation. Poverty, lack of access to healthcare, limited education opportunities, and dependence on extractive industries create conditions where protecting the forest can feel like a luxury.
Abundant Green addresses this by rebuilding the social and economic foundations that allow communities to thrive prosper without destroying the ecosystems they depend on.
Our Impact Vision
Abundant Green is tackling some of the world’s most urgent challenges: Biodiversity loss, deforestation, and land rights. Here’s how we will measure our impact in the Amazon:

Vision Target
"The people of the forest are its greatest protectors. Our mission is to support them in that role, to help them prosper, to secure their futures, and in doing so, to secure the planet's."
A Community-Led Approach to Forest Regeneration
Abundant Village is in the strategic planning stages of beginning work directly with indigenous and local communities in the Amazon to co-create regenerative systems that link human prosperity with forest protection. Our process begins with listening. Through dialogue with local leaders, women, youth, and elders, we identify priorities and opportunities for collaboration. Rather than importing external models, Abundant Green will build on existing community strengths and traditional knowledge systems.
Our work focuses on six integrated pillars:
Sustainable Livelihoods and Green Economies
We will support nature-based industries that provide dignified, local employment without clearing forests. By linking producers to ethical markets, we can help foster circular economies that reward conservation and reduce pressure to exploit the land.
Forest Protection and Biodiversity Corridors
Abundant Green will work with local partners to help reinforce biodiversity corridors that connect fragmented habitats. By helping communities to secure legal land rights and management plans, they are better able to defend their territories from illegal logging and mining. Community patrols, supported by conservation training and technology, monitor wildlife and deforestation trends.
Reforestation and Soil Regeneration
We will support the reforesting of areas to be replanted with native tree species chosen for ecological and cultural importance. Regeneration is measured not just in trees planted but in restored ecosystems and renewed livelihoods.
Education and Knowledge Exchange
Schools and vocational centers integrate environmental education, climate awareness, and local cultural knowledge. Young people can be trained in sustainable land management, renewable energy, and small business development. Exchange programs can bring indigenous youth and conservation practitioners together to share solutions and increase pride in cultural heritage.
Health, Nutrition, and Wellbeing
Plan in supporting healthcare partners to deliver mobile clinics, maternal care, and clean water access to remote forest communities. Nutrition programs to link regenerative farming to healthier diets, connecting school meals with locally grown produce. Strong communities are better equipped to care for the forest, and good health is the foundation of participation and stewardship.
Women's Empowerment and Leadership
Women play a central role in forest management and household economies but are often excluded from decision-making. Abundant Village supports women’s cooperatives, leadership workshops, and small enterprise training, ensuring that women’s voices and skills are integral to community governance and conservation.
The Broader Context and Urgency
The Amazon sits at a critical point. Scientists estimate that the Amazon Basin as a whole is approaching a tipping point beyond which it could shift from rainforest to savanna-type landscape. The consequences would be catastrophic, releasing billions of tons of carbon into the atmosphere and accelerating global climate breakdown.

But the solution is not only environmental; it is social. Strengthening local governance, providing viable livelihoods, and building resilient, informed communities are the most effective and ethical means of protecting the forest.
Abundant Green does not view the Amazon as a remote wilderness but as a living home shared by millions. The people of the forest are its greatest protectors. Our mission is to support them in that role, to help them prosper, to secure their futures, and in doing so, to secure the planet’s.
